Question 1

What is Usizo Wildlife Rescue’s mission?

Accepted Answer

Usizo Wildlife Rescue operates a South African sanctuary for elephants, rhinos, and hippos who cannot safely return to the wild. We own our sanctuary land and lease additional land, supporting rescue, rehabilitation, and lifelong care with reporting for each animal so donors can follow the outcome and the resources behind it.

Question 2

How are donations and sponsorship funds used?

Accepted Answer

The current allocation model directs 30% to rescue operations, 22% to veterinary care, 20% to retained wildlife managers and vets, 16% to owned sanctuary land, leased additional land, and infrastructure, and 12% to financial reserves and operating contingency. This published model shows how gifts support fencing, water, biosecurity, operations, direct animal care, and the people and places that make lifelong sanctuary possible.

Question 3

How does monthly sponsorship work?

Accepted Answer

Monthly sponsorship is recurring monthly support for Usizo Wildlife Rescue’s ongoing rescue and care work. Choose an official tier on the hosted checkout, and the selected amount is charged each month so the sanctuary can plan for continuing needs. A one-time gift is a single flexible contribution instead. Sponsorship supports the published care model; it does not promise that a specific animal will be assigned to your gift.

Question 4

What does each official monthly sponsorship tier include?

Accepted Answer

The $25 tier supports rescue operations, including transport, quarantine, and new-intake coordination. The $50 tier supports veterinary care, recovery, and wound treatment. The $100 tier supports the wildlife staff and vets who care for residents day to day. The $250 tier supports financial reserves, keeping an operating contingency ready for unplanned rescues and urgent care.

Question 5

When will I receive my sponsorship thank-you email?

Accepted Answer

Usizo sends the thank-you and welcome email after the hosted payment has been verified. Delivery timing can vary, so we do not promise a specific delivery time; if you do not see it, check your spam or promotions folder and contact usizo-wildlife-rescue@polsia.app.

Question 6

Are monthly sponsorship charges processed in USD?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Usizo Wildlife Rescue’s hosted checkout processes sponsorship charges in USD. Your card issuer may apply its own currency-conversion or foreign-transaction fees, but those do not change the USD amount shown at checkout.

Question 7

How are contribution receipts handled?

Accepted Answer

A contribution receipt is sent after the hosted payment has been verified. If you need help locating a contribution record, contact Usizo Wildlife Rescue through the contact form or donor-support email.

Question 8

How can I contact Usizo with a donor question?

Accepted Answer

For questions about donations, sponsorship, receipts, or partnerships, use the contact form or email usizo-wildlife-rescue@polsia.app. We will route your question to the right person.
